Low-Light \/ Night Course<\/h2>\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n

The Class is a 5-hr, evening-night class for\u00a0$125<\/strong>.<\/h4>\n\n\n\n

We spend 50% of our lives in the dark, where we are most likely to use a defensive weapon, yet we never get to train at night. Renaissance Shooting Club has opened the range to us for an evening to do familiarization fire on several different courses of fire. We\u2019ll use low grade ambient light and white weapons lights. Those with NVG\u2019s\/IR lasers will get an opportunity to shoot a night obstacle course using their equipment. We do not have loaner or rental NVG\u2019s available.<\/p>\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n

5pm<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\nWe will start the classroom portion of the course at 5:00. At sunset (6:45), we will gear up and start shooting at twilight. We will shoot until around 10:00. There will be plenty of instruction given but this is more for our students to gain some night shoot experience. To become totally proficient, you\u2019ll need to attend a few night shoots in the future.\n\n\n\n

Rifle\/Carbine and Pistol<\/p>\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n

There is a student limit and this is a very popular course, so sign up soon.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Shotguns are allowed. We recommend a box of shells for proper familiarization if you choose to bring one.<\/p>\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n

Drill 11 – Move & Shoot<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Drill 12 – Obstacle Course<\/p>\n\n\n\n

If there is something you don’t have, let us know. We have loaner gear for most things you’ll need.<\/span><\/p>\n\n\n\n

Carbine Rifle w\/ Sling AND MOUNTED WEAPON LIGHT<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Pistol w\/ IWB or OWB holster w\/ MOUNTED WEAPON LIGHT\u00a0<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Kit – Such as Plate Carriers, Battle Belt, Duty Belt, Chest Rig (some method of holding mags). We have loaner battle belts for most sizes.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Minimum of 3 mags per weapon is preferred.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

120 Carbine Rounds, NO GREEN TIPS, 55gr only, per range rules.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

75 Pistol Rounds<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Optional <\/strong>Night Vision, IR illuminators, IR lasers, and other low-light advantage gear.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Ear Protection<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Eye Protection<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Pen and Notepad<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Range appropriate clothing with closed-toed shoes.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Hat<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Chair<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Gun Cleaning Kit<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Speed loader if you have one, we load a lot of mags.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Water, Drinks, Snacks (we have a lot to teach, so we eat on the fly)<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Bring an attitude of excitement, enthusiasm, and willingness to learn!<\/p>\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n
